Your Day. Your Way.

As soon as you get engaged, or even before then, you may already be thinking of how you want your wedding day to be. With so many ideas on Pinterest, and many other wedding blogs, it can be overwhelming at times. Here at The Venue, in Bentonville, AR, we encourage you to plan out how you want your dream wedding to look. Our two ballrooms, and outdoor ceremony space, are the perfect spaces to enhance your vision, and bring it to life.

To help truly visualize how you can personalize The Venue for your big day, we created two separate themes and color palettes for styled shoots. We wanted to create a bright and bold color palette, and one that was more neutral. So if you’re wanting to create something like either of these two styles, then follow along as we discuss what some of the elements were that really tied everything together for each one. All the vendors involved are mentioned at the end, and highly recommended to help make your day the best possible.

Bright & Bold

For our bright and bold theme, we wanted to stick to one of the boldest colors out there. RED. It’s such a powerful color and stands out. All the florals were in the same range of colors, with oranges and yellows, but the main focus was the bright red.

So if you’re wanting to create a more vibrant and bold statement on your wedding day, you don’t have to use red, but if you use shades and tones around whatever color of your choice, it will create a statement. Whether it’s all tones of blue, green, etc., or when the majority of your palette is one color, it stands out.

Although color is a powerful way to highlight bold and bright, you can also use a variety of textures and patterns. In our case, we had a variety of different goblets, beautiful gold silverware, wooden pots, a variety of different floral textures, metallic embossed invitations, origami folded napkins. Even the dress provided was something a little bit more contemporary with sharper lines, and modern flair.

So now that we’ve seen what a bright and bold theme, let’s switch up the gears and turn things down a notch. We wanted to implement some softer colors, and some softer materials. We firmly believe that if you want something a little simpler, it can still be beautiful. You’ll see some of the same items, but styling and color choices can create a whole different vibe. We also wanted to show how diverse our venue can be, and that no matter how you wish to decorate, our space can highlight your theme.

To help achieve this softer look of elegance we used lighter blush colors, with beautiful spring florals, whispy lines and smooth shapes. The dress had a flowey skirt with a beautiful floral lace top. Tablescape included a wide variety of glass vases with simple stems, candles, blush linens, and spring vibes. There was also an overgrown meadow floral installation created for a ceremony backdrop to create an even dreamier setting.
